You're probably keen on lakes, Vitale Pond is one of those nearby; the Cannonball Trail offers hiking at its best. A day on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need, and hiking along the Pine Meadow Trail is perfect fun. If the weather is delightful, you get a fine view of Preakness       Mountain from Baker Pond; Packanack Golf Club is a fine golf course close by. During the summer months at Baker Pond temperatures are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Baker Pond. But wait, there's more to do close to Baker Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pequannock River, and Baker Pond is right by the Kakiat Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Mt. Peter is good, and if you came to camp Baker Camp On Lake Sebago is a great site to do that.
