It is a great place to live for a nature lover, or anyone looking for some peace and quite with beautiful natural surroundings. But, it is not a place you can casually visite since it is a private community on a private road. The high level of precipitation makes Arapaho Lake a reasonably wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The Sparta Mountains here at Arapaho Lake makes the scenery here fine, and if you need a       location to stay Homewood Suites by Hilton Dover Rockaway is a tremendous choice. You can run the rapids of Paulins Kill River in close proximity to Arapaho Lake, and the sight of picturesque Sparta Mountains is fine. Skiing at Hidden Valley is one of those things you just must do; Arapaho Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Sun Air Lakeside Camp is a nice local campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in close proximity to                  Arapaho Lake. India Brook is a great whitewater spot close to Arapaho Lake, and playing golf is lots of fun at Ballyowen Golf Club. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Rockaway-Mt. Arlington, and swamps can be such out of the ordinary sites, go to Pine Swamp while you're here at Arapaho Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mountain Creek since you're here. There's so much to do here at Arapaho Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Hill Campground is a wonderful place for that. While staying at Arapaho Lake you could always look at Sparta Glen; Glen Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Arapaho Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Arapaho Lake.
