Why not camp at Camp wabenaki if you're here at Anona Lake, and Pine Brook is close to Anona Lake and is always a delight to go to. All the water falling down from the sky makes Anona Lake a wet place; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most while February is commonly the driest month. Throughout the warm months highs here at Anona Lake get into the 80's, and throughout summer       nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Anona Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Have a good hiking adventure along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Popolopen Creek. Anona Lake is right by the Sherwood Path, and Mt. Peter is a perfect local ski area. If you like skiing, you're                  in luck; Sterling Forest is right next door to Anona Lake, and a great location to camp here at Anona Lake is Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. Ramapo River is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Anona Lake; hiking along the Conklins Crossing is perfect fun. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Inn, and a round of golf at nearby Apple Ridge Country Club is a splendid way to kill some time. So many cool things right next door to Anona Lake, definitely mind-blowing.
