If you are in Coos county it's always a good idea to stop by York Pond. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The White Mountains is great! Why not go to York Pond Dam if you're here; you can stay the night at Nay Pond Campground. You'll meet a lot of folks from Berlin here. There's so much to do here at York Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Nay Pond Campground is a good place for that. Hiking along the Upper Ammonoosuc Trail is tremendous

This lake is so wonderful. Androscoggin River is a wonderful whitewater spot close to York Pond, and you get a fine vista of Deer Mountain from here. Summertime at York Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for York Pond. What a place this is for outdoors people. Really nice skiing awaits | |

Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the White Mountains.
Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Pond of Safety Trail, and after a long day outdoors A Top Notch Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two. A normal amount of rain falls here at York Pond; the wettest month of the year
is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Balsams Wilderness, and you can run the rapids of
Upper Ammonoosuc River - West Branch.
York Pond is located in the White Mountains. Some of the water close by flows, like Brandy Brook.
