York Pond is always a pleasure to visit. York Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. If you come at the right time of year, Androscoggin River offers some perfect whitewater, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Pond of Safety Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area near York Pond has to

York Pond in fact is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. If you need a place to stay Grand View Lodge & Cabins is a glorious choice, and you can stay the night at Cedar Pond Campground. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Balsams Wilderness if you're here, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Upper Ammonoosuc Trail. This lake is so wonderful. York Pond is a nice site to camp, Nay Pond Campground is a nice site.
There's no way anyone can get bored here in the White Mountains. Do stop at York Pond Dam while you're here at York Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Great
Gully Lodge Bed & Break. So many cool things to do in the White Mountains, not sufficient time. Lakes are such calm places, why not go to Godfrey Pond near York Pond, and a wonderful panorama of pretty Deer Mountain is available.
For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at York Pond get into the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the
0's to York Pond.
This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from Berlin come to York Pond, and the York Pond Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Soar down the
rapids of Upper Ammonoosuc River - West Branch in a kayak, and charming scenery and pleasant skiing is what you obtain at Bretton Woods.
