    Many people like to go to Winona Lake. And if that's not enough there's a load more enjoyable stuff to do in the White Mountains. Gotta ski! Gunstock is a nice spot to do that, and Winona Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Bethel woods Campground is a magnificent local campground. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Mad River, and lots of folks from Laconia come here. What a location this is for outdoors folks. From Winona  
   Lake you obtain a nice sight of Beech Hill, and Hawkins Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to.
The Inns & Spa at Mill Falls is a good site to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Ramsey Trail. Camping at Squam Lakes Camp Resorts is always a great experience, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Oak Hill Golf Course. Summertime at Winona Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the duration
 
               of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Winona Lake are in the 0's.
The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Beebe River; the The Wall Trail offers hiking at its best. Winona Lake commonly gets lots of precipitation; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February.
Winona Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. If you get bored of Winona Lake, you could also stop at nearby Sky Pond. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. You don’t have to go far from Winona Lake to spot the water at Hawkins Pond Dam; Winona Lake is right by the Prospect Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Summit Resort is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and everyone close by loves skiing at Tenney Mountain.

I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon.......affiliate of Pacific Group. Since then, total acreage has increased to 2,000 and plans call for 65 further acres of slopes.
Upon acquiring the mountain property, the new owners invested over $2 million into the resort for renovations including 14,000 feet of new snow making pipe, 25 new energy efficient snow guns, new snow groomers, a new Wonder carpet lift for beginners, chairlift improvements including reviving lift service to Spear Mountain, base lodge renovations including new carpet, the repair of steps and outside brick walkways, the addition of seasonal lockers and an outdoor fire pit, and adding two new restaurants.
The renovations did not stop there. In 2008, Ragged Mountain announced the addition of a new upscale dining establishment, additional snow-making capacity, and three all new terrain parks including one of the only all natural terrain parks in the East.

I ski there almost every day of the winter. Ive been snowboarding there for 8 years. They acualy have 6 trails with over 20 acres of riding, and 2 rope tows. They have a 1000,and a 150 ft rope tow. They have a small asortment of freestyle terain and snowmaking.
