And that's not everything you can do here in the       White Mountains. Here at Lake Winnipesaukee there are plenty of folks from Laconia, and since you're here, you could also check out wonderful Round Pond. For the duration of the days of summer here at Lake Winnipesaukee, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Lake Winnipesaukee is a wet location that gets much rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Gunstock is right next door to Lake Winnipesaukee, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Gilford Beach. Good hiking is available along the Mount Katherine Trail.
