A pleasant swamp near Williams Pond is Talbot Swamp, and Williams Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Field and Stream Travel Trailer Park is a great local campground. Williams Pond is a relatively wet place commonly with a great deal of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while September is the month with the least amount of  
   precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Souhegan River is a brilliant whitewater spot near Williams Pond; why not take a look at Potanipo Pond Dam since you're here.
You can never get enough of the good skiing at McIntyre. The warmest time of the year at Williams Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's

On a brilliant day at Williams Pond you can take a hike along the Old Country Road; if you need a location to stay Crowne Plaza Hotel Nashua, Nh is a delightful choice. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Williams Pond. There is a splendid hiking trail close to Williams Pond called the Wapack Trail; the peak of Coreys Hill can be observed from Williams Pond. Lakes? Sure, Pout Pond is around here, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wachusett Mountain since you're here.

Ahhh good ol Heywood's used to be a great lake for swimming with rope swings that threw you out 80 feet into the water. but since then many things have changed people caught on to the fun nites out there , and police started showing up and now the whole place ''all the trees'' have been cut down  above the apple orchard, so no swimming there or you will be hit with a fine of up to 500$...

Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats....
