Looking for something right next door to Willard Pond? Nubanusit Lake is nearby, and there's glorious hiking along the Pumpelly Trail. Any time is a great time at Willard Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cascade Link Trail, and there's whitewater on Contoocook River for all you thrill seekers. The yearly precipitation here at Willard       Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August while February is commonly the driest month. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Willard Pond. Throughout the summertime, highs regularly are in the 70's at Willard Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Willard Pond. Seven Maples Campground is a wonderful                  local campground, and Bald Mountain is clearly visible from Willard Pond. You could also visit Hunts Pond since you're here at Willard Pond; it's close by; if you need a place to stay The Henniker Motel is a brilliant choice. Field'n Forest Recreation Area is a good campground nearby, and there are some great whitewater spots on Contoocook River - North Branch. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Mount Sunapee are so inviting noone can resist; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Willard Pond you will meet lots of people from close by Keene; Willard Pond Dam is a lovely spot, absolutely worth going to.
