Pats Peak is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood; swamps don’t sound that tremendous but Spruce Swamp near Whittemore Lake is pretty tremendous. You'll come across a beautiful lake called Powder Mill Pond near Whittemore Lake; you'll meet a lot of folks from Manchester-Nashua here. Campers Beach is near Whittemore Lake and is a pretty beach to stop at, and a delightful spot to camp here       at Whittemore Lake is Seven Maples Campground. All the outdoors cool things near Whittemore Lake will keep you coming back time and again. Whittemore Lake is right by the Wapack Trail; camping is available at Field'n Forest Recreation Area. The yearly rainfall here at Whittemore Lake is about average; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. From Whittemore Lake you acquire a magnificent sight                  of Bell Ledges, and Crotched Mountain has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Contoocook River, and a nice close by hotel is The Henniker Motel. Going for a hike along the Pumpelly Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; Whittemore Lake Dam has delightful water scenery. At Whittemore Lake during the summertime highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Whittemore Lake. Having a tremendous time at Whittemore Lake is painless. On a lovely day you can visit Picnickers Beach in the neighborhood of Whittemore Lake, and Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a fine place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
