A glorious nearby hotel is The Henniker Motel, and a pleasant place to camp here at Whittemore Lake is Seven Maples Campground. From a precipitation point of view Whittemore Lake is a quite normal site; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest of the months is January. Man, is       there heaps of enjoyable things to do in close proximity to Whittemore Lake. Lakes? Sure, Contoocook River Reservoir is nearby, and you'll perhaps meet some people from Manchester-Nashua here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Don't leave Whittemore Lake without first going for a hike along the Parker Trail, and a day on the slopes of Crotched Mountain is just what you need. Get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Contoocook River,                  and a visit to Picnickers Beach is always a pleasant idea. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Pats Peak is good; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Powder Mill Pond. Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a good place to get some rest, and Spruce Swamp is an attention-grabbing swamp in the vicinity of Whittemore Lake. Why not camp at Field'n Forest Recreation Area if you're here at Whittemore Lake. There are delightful spots to discover along the Wapack Trail; you have to positively visit beautiful Campers Beach while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Bell Ledges is easily distinguished from Whittemore Lake; there's always Whittemore Lake Dam to have a look at next to Whittemore Lake. During the summer at Whittemore Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
