The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Ragged Mountain. Lakes are fine; Mud Pond is a lake that's right next door to Whitney Pond. Whitney Pond is uncomplicated, and if you need a place to stay The Trumbull House Bed And Breakfast is a magnificent choice. This lake is so wonderful. Prescott Hill is painless to spot from Whitney Pond. There's so much to do here
at Whitney Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Crescent Campsites is a magnificent site for that. Head up to Whaleback and strap some skis to your feet, and going for a hike on the Mowglis Trail is always a fine adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Whitney Pond to see the water at Kilton Pond Dam, and there are some great whitewater spots on Smith River. Summer at Whitney Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's.
All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; overnight lows through the winter for Whitney Pond tend to be in the 0's. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Whitney Pond.
