This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. This lake is so wonderful. The Farmers Trail offers hiking at its best, and getting to Brandy Brook from West Hill Reservoir is painless. A delightful       nearby hotel is Best Western Sovereign Hotel. Lakes? Sure, Rockwood Pond is close by. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs usually are in the 80's at West Hill Reservoir. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for West Hill Reservoir. There's tremendous hiking along the White Arrow Trail, and this is a popular place for folks from Keene. An                  average amount of rain falls at West Hill Reservoir; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Minnewawa River, and you can stay the night at Woodbrook Camp and Tennis Club. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; West Hill Reservoir has it all. Gotta ski! Crotched Mountain is a brilliant location to do that; Rockwood Pond Dam has delightful water scenery. Good hiking is available along the Marlboro Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Ashuelot River - South Branch.
