And that's not all you can do here at West Henniker Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Mile/Away Campground is a nice campground nearby, and not far from West Henniker Pond you'll hit upon Mud Pond which is a striking lake. At West Henniker Pond during the summertime highs are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend       down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at West Henniker Pond plunge into the 10's. Pats Peak is a tremendous local ski area, and you can go for a hike on the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Rock' N Birch Campground is a magnificent location to camp, and close by you hit upon the Wilmot Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Contoocook                  Valley Paper Company Dam is a location that is in the vicinity of West Henniker Pond, and some nearby water includes Warier Brook. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the area near West Henniker Pond has to offer. The slopes of Crotched Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. Lakes are great; Morrill Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of West Henniker Pond. An afternoon playing golf at Angus Lea Golf Course is always a delight, and a good panorama of lovely Morrill Hill is available. If you come at the right time of year, Contoocook River offers some good whitewater, and going for a hike on the Wapack Trail is always a delightful adventure. West Henniker Pond gets a common amount of annual rain; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful.
