Perkins Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the West Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Rand Pond Campground is a great local campground, and the Wilmot Trail is a brilliant hiking trail nearby. Summertime highs at Wendall Marsh regularly tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Marsh Dam is worth visiting since you're here; the summit of Baisdell Hill can be observed from Wendall Marsh. If you came for an overnight stay Loon Lake Campground is a good place to camp, and State Park Beach is a beach close by
that you can go to. If you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Claremont is a delightful choice, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Mount Sunapee. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Wendall
Marsh. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge, and hey, Gotta ski right? Whaleback is a brilliant spot to do that. You can run the rapids of Croyden Brook close to Wendall Marsh, and if you get bored of Wendall Marsh you could also stop by nearby Lake Sunapee.

 | 18 miles away I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon....... including reviving lift service to Spear Mountain, base lodge renovations including new carpet, the repair of steps and outside brick walkways, the addition of seasonal lockers and an outdoor fire pit, and adding two new restaurants. The renovations did not stop there. In 2008, Ragged Mountain announced the addition of a new upscale dining establishment, additional snow-making capacity, and three all new terrain parks including one of the only all natural terrain parks in the East. The resort development group has a history of building resorts around the Western U.S. and Canada.
