All the water falling down from the sky makes Wash Pond a wet spot; during November this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Sanborn Shore Acres is a fine place to do that, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then,       we recommend Concord River. The Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail is a good hiking trail near Wash Pond, and an interesting thing to visit close to Wash Pond is Wash Pond Dam. A fine panorama of charming Howe Hill is available from Wash Pond, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn SALEM (I-93 AT EXIT 2) is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. On a pleasant day at Wash Pond you can take a hike along the Campground Trail, and a pretty lake like Hog                  Hill Pond is a splendid spot to check out. The snow is good at Bradford, and Wash Pond is a delightful lake close by. Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do close to Wash Pond. You're sure to run into some friendly people from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy here, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Atkinson Country Club. All through the summer months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Wash Pond. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Wash Pond. If only every spot had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great earth it would be. A day on the slopes of McIntyre is just what you need, and taking a little tour to close by Boulder Cove is a great idea. There is a fine hiking trail in the vicinity of Wash Pond called the Catamount Trail, and Wash Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Sunset Park is a tremendous local campground.   Salem Red Roof Inn, Salem 6 miles away 2.
