Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Pleasant Lake; Blake's Brook Campground is a pleasant local campground. From a precipitation point of view Voydatch Pond is a reasonably typical place; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Voydatch       Pond, you could explore Flat Meadow Brook, and you can go for a hike on the Catamount Trail. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Voydatch Pond. Sure, Northwood Lake is close at hand, and going for a hike on the Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail is always a good adventure. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Voydatch Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Pleasant Lake Dam is pretty and it's close to Voydatch Pond, and you can run the rapids of Suncook River. There's whitewater on Little Suncook for all you adrenaline kick people; close by you come across the Campground Trail which is a good hiking trail. Skiing at McIntyre is one of those things you just should do. This lake is so wonderful.
