Pats Peak is a very popular ski area in the vicinity; a fine close by hotel is The Henniker Motel. Through the summertime months here at Upper Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Upper Pond. This       lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Old Country Road; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Bear Pond Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Pond is not the only location nearby, Long Pond is a nearby lake; there's tremendous hiking along the Wapack Trail. Upper Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of November you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is January.                  If only every spot had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great world it would be. The peak of Buck Hill can be seen from Upper Pond. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Duston Country Club Golf Course, and why not head up to Crotched Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Man, is there a heap of cool things to do in the neighborhood of Upper Pond. A lake close by is Middle Pond, and camping is available at Rock' N Birch Campground. Don't leave Upper Pond without first going for a hike along the Wilmot Trail, and some close by water includes Amey Brook.
