New Hampshire has many beautiful lakes and Upper Gentian Pond is one of them. There's glorious hiking along the Success Trail, and great hiking is available along the Austin Brook Trail. If only every site had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. Upper Gentian Pond gets a common amount of yearly rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Just can't get enough of

at Black Mountain since you're here. Dryad Falls is an inspiring location to check out while you're here, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wild River. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains.

Cedar Pond
 | 14 miles away I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful.
