You're probably addicted to lakes, Lake Armington is one of those close by, and going for a hike on the Chippewa Trail is always a nice adventure. This is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes. Lake Tarleton is a lake nearby. There's so much to do here at Lake Tarleton that you need to camp here for a while, Scenic View Campground is a good spot for that. This       lake is so wonderful. There is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Lake Tarleton called the Blueberry Mountain Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Baker River offers some wonderful whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Sunset Hill House. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Tarleton is close to the national average; all through August this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. At Lake Tarleton                  through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Tarleton fall into the 0's. Go for a hike on the Black Mountain Trail, and Ammonoosuc Inn is a great spot to get some rest. Ore Hill is pretty and can be seen from Lake Tarleton, and soar down the rapids of Pond Brook River in a kayak. Any time is a great time at Lake Tarleton if you go for the outdoors.
