At Surry Mountain Dam in the neighborhood of Surry Mountain Lake there are some interesting things to see, and camping is available at Surry Mountain Camp Ground. Summer at Surry Mountain Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at       Surry Mountain Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Farmers Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Bretwood Golf Course is a good golf course nearby. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Surry Mountain Lake called the Marlboro Trail. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Living Memorial Park is near Surry Mountain Lake; it's a nice idea to stop at Merriam Brook. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do in                  the neighborhood of Surry Mountain Lake. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ashuelot River; during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Keene for sure. If you need a site to stay Valley Green Motel is a perfect choice; why not camp at Hilltop Camp if you're here at Surry Mountain Lake. A lake close by is Goose Pond, and the vista of Bear Den Hill is gorgeous. Surry Mountain Lake is a good spot of normal rain; through August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
