It's always fun to stop by Sunset Lake. If you need a spot to stay Highland Inn is a glorious choice, and hiking along the Parker Trail is brilliant fun. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. The top of Crotched Mountain is easily seen from Sunset Lake, and Beaver Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore. Get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Stony Brook; Pats Peak is a very popular ski area nearby.

Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Sunset Lake. in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Sunset Lake all through the wintertime usually drop into the 10's.
One of the best things about Sunset Lake is its proximity to Picnickers
Beach, and you can hit the slopes at Crotched Mountain around here. This lake is so wonderful. A day at Campers Beach near Sunset Lake is time well spent, and do take a hike on the Mitchell Hill Road. There's so much to do here at
Sunset Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Echo Valley is a good place for that, and you can run the rapids of Contoocook River.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Wapack Trail. The yearly rain here at Sunset Lake
is about average; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Shell Vacations Hospitality is a perfect spot to get some rest, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Spruce Swamp is right nearby.
