This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a great panorama of Avery Hill from Sunset Lake, and this is a popular spot for people from Laconia. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Suncook River, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Hills Pond. Having a delightful time at Sunset Lake is simple. Some close by water includes       Frohock Brook, and the scenery at Sunset Lake Dam is stunning. Summertime highs at Sunset Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Sunset Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. If you need a place to stay Wolfeboro Inn is a good choice, and camping is available at Green Tops Campground. Spend the day                  on the beach at Alton Town Beach since you're here at Sunset Lake, and the Campground Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Gotta ski! Abenaki is a great location to do that; since you're here you can take a hike along the Onemile Trail. A nice nearby hotel is The Margate Resort; camping at Bay Hill Campground and Cabins is always a delightful experience. Everybody close by loves skiing at Gunstock; you'll locate a stunning lake called Lake Eileen. So much exciting stuff in close proximity to Sunset Lake, simply extraordinary. If the weather is magnificent here at Sunset Lake, you can go for a hike along the Catamount Trail.
