Go to Suncook River Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. Be careful coming to Suncook River Reservoir, you might not ever want to return home again. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Gunstock if you're here. Tilton Hill is wonderful and can be seen from Suncook River Reservoir, and Sun River Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Crooked Run since you're here at Suncook River Reservoir, and there are other places here than Suncook River Reservoir, for example Huntress Pond. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Suncook River Reservoir. Hiking along the Catamount Trail is perfect fun; Lougee Pond is a great lake close by.  | Have been here a couple of times and its the best! We go with a group and get all the sites near the river/stream (perhaps the river/stream is Sun River)and its wonderful!!! No need to worry about the kids and/or dogs bothering anyone and they can just play in the water, fish, look for frogs, float on their tubes, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean!!! We've stayed here a number of years and I couldn't ask for more from a camp ground . . . you're camping but still have all the conveniences right at hand! The spot we get near the water is by far the best! Country store is close and, for those who are interested, I can even use my cell phone (only if necessary, of course)without getting cut off! Thumbs up to Sun River Camp Ground!!! ... |
