    What a nice lake Suncook Lake is. Very scenic scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Gunstock; swing by Big River it's a good location to visit. High temperatures at Suncook Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Suncook Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. Whitewater paddling is tremendous  
   on Suncook River, and camping is available at Sun River Campground.
This place is unbeatable, just look at all the amusing things to do near Suncook Lake. If you need a spot to stay Wolfeboro Inn is a delightful choice, and pleasant hiking is available along the Onemile Trail. Any time is a pleasant time at Suncook Lake if you love the outdoors. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Lower Suncook
 
               Lake, and don't leave Suncook Lake without first going for a hike along the Campground Trail.
Not far from Suncook Lake, you'll locate Huntress Pond which is a scenic lake, and an attention-grabbing thing to go to close to Suncook Lake is Suncook Lake Dam. Why not camp at Hillcrest Campground and Cabins since you're here at Suncook Lake, and Red Roof Inn Loudon is a pleasant place to get some rest. An average amount of precipitation falls at Suncook Lake; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest.
If you're here at Suncook Lake and you like golf, you can stop at Nippo Lake Golf Club, and what would winter be without some skiing at Abenaki. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Suncook Lake; Catamount Trail is a nice local trail, and lots of people from Laconia come here.

Have been here a couple of times and its the best! We go with a group and get all the sites near the river/stream (perhaps the river/stream is Sun River)and its wonderful!!! No need to worry about the kids and/or dogs bothering anyone and they can just play in the water, fish, look for frogs, float on their tubes, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean!!! We've stayed here a number of years and I couldn't ask for more from a camp ground . . . you're camping but still have all the conveniences right at hand! The spot we get near the water is by far the best! Country store is close and, for those who are interested, I can even use my cell phone (only if necessary, of course)without getting cut off! Thumbs up to Sun River Camp Ground!!! ...

I ski there almost every day of the winter. Ive been snowboarding there for 8 years. They acualy have 6 trails with over 20 acres of riding, and 2 rope tows. They have a 1000,and a 150 ft rope tow. They have a small asortment of freestyle terain and snowmaking.
