     Why not camp at Loon Lake Campground if you're here at Sunapee Lake, and Lake Sunapee Dam is beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a great choice, and if you're here, you could also visit lovely Lake Sunapee. Throughout the summer highs here at Sunapee Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's, and overnight  
   lows during the wintertime for Sunapee Lake tend to be in the 0's. A magnificent nearby hotel is Days Inn Lebanon/Hanover.
What a place this is for outdoors people. Gotta ski! Whaleback is a good spot to do that; great hiking is available along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sunapee Lake; Wilmot Trail is a great local trail, and the view of charming Burkehaven Hill is nice. This lake is so wonderful. A great spot to
 
               camp here at Sunapee Lake is Rand Pond Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Croyden Brook.
Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Sunapee; the West Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. Getting to Blodgett Brook from Sunapee Lake is trouble-free; Dewey Beach is a pretty beach to have a look at. If you come at the right time of year, Sugar River offers some good whitewater; Bay Point is nearby and always delightful to stop by.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff near Sunapee Lake. Mud Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and a day at beautiful State Park Beach in the neighborhood of Sunapee Lake is a brilliant thing to do. A normal amount of rain falls here at Sunapee Lake; most of the rain falls during August, and February is when it's the driest.

Went there too in 75 and 77....I learned how to swim in Orange Pond, cooled off on hot summer days in Orange Pond, canoed, rowed and fished there. The ingress, at the time, was from Camp Magpies, from which there was a wonderful view of Mount Cardigan over the Pond....

I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon.......d to 2,000 and plans call for 65 further acres of slopes.
Upon acquiring the mountain property, the new owners invested over $2 million into the resort for renovations including 14,000 feet of new snow making pipe, 25 new energy efficient snow guns, new snow groomers, a new Wonder carpet lift for beginners, chairlift improvements including reviving lift service to Spear Mountain, base lodge renovations including new carpet, the repair of steps and outside brick walkways, the addition of seasonal lockers and an outdoor fire pit, and adding two new restaurants.
The renovations did not stop there. In 2008, Ragged Mountain announced the addition of a new upscale dining establishment, additional snow-making capacity, and three all new terrain parks including one of the only all natural terrain parks in the East.
The resort development group has a history of building resorts around the Western U.S. and Canada. Along with the substantial funds to help with improvements, the new owners hired ski industry veteran Bob Fries as president and general manager to implement the necessary ...
