     Sugar River Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. You're sure to stumble upon some smiling folks from Lebanon here, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Connecticut River. This lake is so wonderful. The Hang Glider Trail offers hiking at its best, and why not head up to Ascutney and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Running Bear Camping Area if you're here at Sugar  
   River Reservoir, and Claremont Country Club Country Club is a golf course nearby.
All through the days of summer at Sugar River Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Sugar River Reservoir nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sugar River Reservoir; Slot Trail is a splendid local
 
               trail; if you come at the right time of year, Bloods Brook offers some great whitewater.
The yearly rainfall here at Sugar River Reservoir is about average; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. Mount Ascutney State Park Campground is a good local campground; Barber Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Sugar River Reservoir. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Claremont; while you're here, you could also stop at lovely Dole Reservoir.
