Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Connecticut River, and there are plenty of folks from Lebanon here. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Straw Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Mount Ascutney State Park Campground, and Bald Mountain is clearly visible from Straw Reservoir. and going for a hike along the Hang Glider Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Straw Reservoir, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the
winter highs are in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Straw Reservoir temperatures drop to the 0's. Any time is a great time at Straw Reservoir if you love the outdoors.
