     Bog Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge. What a location this is for outdoors people. The sight of Barton Hill from Stocker Pond is beautiful; Bog Brook Dam is a lovely site. On a pleasant day at Stocker Pond you can take a hike along the Clark Pond Loop; camping at Crows Nest Campground is always a magnificent experience. If you get bored of Stocker Pond, you could also  
   go to nearby Palazzi Pond, and a day at Dewey Beach is time well spent.
If you need a location to stay Days Inn Lebanon/Hanover is a nice choice, and Stocker Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Loon Lake Campground is a great local campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things near Stocker Pond. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sugar River, and while you're here
 
               you will meet lots of folks from nearby Lebanon. Stocker Pond is a good place of typical rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest.
Summertime highs at Stocker Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Stocker Pond. Bog Brook Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mount Sunapee. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; a fine location for whitewater paddling is Croyden Brook.
This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pleasant here at Stocker Pond, you can go for a hike along the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Whaleback close by.

I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon....... May 2007, Ragged Mountain, a 1,650 acre mountain resort which includes a 220 acre ski area and an 18-hole golf course, was purchased by Salt Lake City based resort developer RMR-Pacific, an affiliate of Pacific Group. Since then, total acreage has increased to 2,000 and plans call for 65 further acres of slopes.
Upon acquiring the mountain property, the new owners invested over $2 million into the resort for renovations including 14,000 feet of new snow making pipe, 25 new energy efficient snow guns, new snow groomers, a new Wonder carpet lift for beginners, chairlift improvements including reviving lift service to Spear Mountain, base lodge renovations including new carpet, the repair of steps and outside brick walkways, the addition of seasonal lockers and an outdoor fire pit, and adding two new restaurants.
The renovations did not stop there. In 2008, Ragged Mountain announced the addition of a new upscale dining establishment, additional snow-making capacity, and three all new terrain parks including one of the only all natural terrain parks in the East.
