at Goldfish Pond in the vicinity of Stevens Pond, it's a pretty lake. There's so much to do here at Stevens Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Calef Lake Camping Area is a wonderful location for that. This lake is so wonderful.
Going for a hike along the Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Piscataquog River.
Hiking along the Catamount Trail is glorious fun, and a magnificent location for whitewater paddling is Merrimack River. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Stevens Pond has it all. You can never get enough of
the good skiing at McIntyre. And that's not all you can do here at Stevens Pond. While you're here at Stevens Pond, you could also have a look at beautiful Oak Hill Reservoir, and a golf course close by is Intervale Country Club.
Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Onemile Trail, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Manchester-Nashua. Radisson Hotel Manchester is a brilliant location to get some rest; Campbell Hill is a peak you can spot from Stevens Pond.

 | 16 miles away 1 PHOTO Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats.... |
