Stevens Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Calef Lake Camping Area is a pleasant local campground, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Merrimack River. Stevens Pond gets a large amount of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MANCHESTER-AIRPORT is a wonderful choice. Bald Hill is clearly visible from Stevens Pond, unsurprisingly you could also explore Oak Hill Reservoir while you're here; it's not far
at all. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! McIntyre is a perfect place to do that, and Piscataquog River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe
it would be. Hiking along the Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail is pleasant fun, and Intervale Country Club is a great golf course close by. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do close to Stevens Pond. Going for a
hike along the Catamount Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. If the weather is magnificent here at Stevens Pond, you can go for a hike along the Onemile Trail, and you'll in all probability meet some folks from Manchester-Nashua here.

Locust Pond
 | 15 miles away 1 PHOTO Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats.... |
