One of the best things about Spectacle Pond is its proximity to Dewey Beach, and Baltimore Hill can be seen from Spectacle Pond. Go for a hike on the Clark Pond Loop, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sugar River. You just must adore Spectacle Pond. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Whaleback while       you're here, and close by you locate the Monadnock Sunapee Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. Why not go to Long Pond Brook Dam if you're here; going for a hike on the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail is always a splendid adventure. Spectacle Pond is a good site of typical rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A charming lake like The Overflow in the neighborhood of Spectacle Pond is a brilliant spot to explore, and camping is available at Crows Nest Campground.
