Whitewater paddling is perfect on Croyden Brook, and hey, Chandler Brook is a fine local stream. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Solitude; Monadnock Sunapee Trail is a great local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Solitude temperatures fall to the 10's. Lake Lodge is a glorious choice; a good sight of gorgeous Eagles Nest is available. Get drenched paddling on Sugar River; Lake Solitude is great enough to spend more than a day at, Loon Lake Campground is a great local campground.
And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do next to Lake Solitude. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Sunapee is in the vicinity of Lake Solitude, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Wilmot Trail. This lake
is so wonderful. A lake close by is Mud Pond, and State Park Beach is a beautiful beach to check out. Lake Solitude gets a typical amount of rain; August is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. The skiing at Whaleback is good, and Lake Solitude is right by the West Ridge Trail.
