The annual rain here at Lake Solitude is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lake Solitude you can distinguish Eagles Nest; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mount Sunapee. This location is so good, just explore all the exciting stuff to do near Lake Solitude. There's       great hiking along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Claremont. So many amusing things to do at Lake Solitude, so little time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Croyden Brook, and let's not forget Chandler Brook which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay. Time spent at State Park Beach near Lake Solitude is always great, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Solitude; Wilmot Trail is a magnificent local                  trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the West Ridge Trail; a glorious location to camp here at Lake Solitude is Rand Pond Campground. There are some great whitewater spots on Sugar River; Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a nice site to get some rest. A lake close by is Lake Sunapee; why not head up to Whaleback and strap some skis to your feet. High temperatures at Lake Solitude all through the summertime months are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's while Lake Solitude nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's.
