    Do stop by Snake Pond while you're in this part of New Hampshire. Get soaked paddling on Swift River, and if you need a site to stay Good Harvest Inn is a splendid choice. Snake Pond in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Head up to Cranmore Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; do take a hike on the Bruce Path. Snake Pond is a wet spot that gets lots of rain; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year  
   is September.
For the period of the long summer days here at Snake Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; nighttime lows at Snake Pond through the wintertime frequently drop into the 0's. Snake Pond is located in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Shingle Pond Trail is magnificent fun, and get yourself into a kayak and
 
               hit Saco River - East Branch.
So much cool stuff in the White Mountains, just phenomenal. Snake Pond is close to Pequawket Power Company Dam which is a charming place absolutely worth visiting; on a lovely day you acquire a magnificent vista of Oak Hill from Snake Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Saco Valley Canoe is always a glorious experience, and North Conway Country Club is a golf course close by. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Dollof Pond in the vicinity of Snake Pond, and let's not forget Grove Brook which is a stream that you may bump into while here.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area close to Snake Pond has to offer. And that's not all the things you can do here in the White Mountains. A day on the slopes of King Pine is just what you need, and after a long day outdoors Conway Lake Inn is a splendid location to spend a night or two. A magnificent location to camp here at Snake Pond is Eastern Slope Camping Area; why not take a refreshing hike along the White Horse Trail.
