Gotta ski! Crotched Mountain is a great place to do that, and if you need a place to stay The Henniker Motel is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Island Pond since you're here at Smith Pond; it's close by, and why not camp at Idle Times Campground if you're here at Smith Pond. This lake is       so wonderful. Smith Pond is not far at all from Keene, and if you came for an overnight stay Cliffton's Country Camping is a great site to camp. The slopes of Mount Sunapee are so inviting nobody can resist; there's great hiking along the Pumpelly Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Smith Pond; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Smith Pond during                  the summer are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Smith Pond. Just can't get enough of Smith Pond. Don't leave Smith Pond without first going for a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. The Parker Trail offers hiking at its best, and the peak of Jones Hill can be seen from Smith Pond. So much exciting stuff to do at Smith Pond, so little time.
