While you're here at Silver Lake you can play some golf at Lake View Golf Club; the slopes of Gunstock are so inviting nobody can resist. So much entertaining stuff in the White Mountains, just fantastic. Gotta ski! Tenney Mountain is a good location to do that, and if you've had enough of Silver Lake, Lake Winnisquam is close by.
