Many people like to go to Showell Pond. Phillips Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore; the top of Chestnut Hill is easily observed from Showell Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Catamount Trail; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Bradford is relatively near. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little Suncook, and Angle Pond Grove is a great local campground. If you need

| | a location to stay Red Roof Inn Salem is a pleasant choice, and the skiing at McIntyre is magnificent. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Concord River, and Wash Pond Dam has great water scenery. All the outdoors enjoyable things near Showell Pond will keep you coming back repeatedly. the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Showell Pond are in the 10's. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place!
Showell Pond is peerless! Showell Pond is a place with many visitors from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, and there's good hiking along the Campground Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Showell Pond is a great site to visit for more than
one day, Sanborn Shore Acres is a great site to camp nearby; if you get bored of Showell Pond you could also take a look at close by Wash Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Showell Pond a wet location; the month
of November is the wettest with most of the rain; January on the other hand is the driest. A good nearby hotel is Best Western Merrimack Valley; since you're here and you like golf, you can go to Atkinson Country Club.
