Shoal Pond is located in the White Mountains. An average amount of rainfall falls at Shoal Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Why not camp at Dry River Campground if you're here at Shoal Pond, and the snow is tremendous at Waterville Valley. Don't leave Shoal Pond without first going for a hike along the Shoal       Pond Trail, and why not head up to Bretton Woods and strap some skis to your feet. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. Get dripping wet paddling on Pemigewasset River - North Fork. Man, is there lots of fun stuff to do in the White Mountains. A pleasant place to camp here at Shoal Pond is Tarry-ho-cottages; since you're here why not have a look at Zealand Notch. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do in                  close proximity to Shoal Pond. Thoreau Falls is always fun to check out, and do have a look at Ethan Pond, it's a picturesque lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Stillwater By-Pass, and it's a delightful idea to go to Whitewall Brook. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Shoal Pond, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, typically in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's while Shoal Pond night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Ammonoosuc River; while you're here, you could also explore lovely Zealand Pond. Dry warm beds await you at The Mount Washington Hotel & Resort, and you can go for a hike on the Ethan Pond Trail. So much fun stuff to do here in the White Mountains, too great to be true.
