This lake is so wonderful. Near Shaw Pond you find the Manning Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Webster Lake and Chance Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. An average amount of precipitation falls at Shaw Pond; the month with most of the rain is May, and January is when it's the driest. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Shaw Pond has to offer, you can camp at Thousand Aces Family       Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Winnipesaukee River. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a nice close by course is Mojalaki Golf Club, and Shaw Pond is a perfect spot to visit for more than one day, Pine Grove Campground is a perfect spot to camp nearby. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. There are plenty of folks from Concord here at Shaw Pond, and a nice sight of charming                  Pine Hill is available. Through the long summer days at Shaw Pond highs are commonly in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while Shaw Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. There's whitewater on Merrimack River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Tilton/Lake Winnipesaukee is a nice choice. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Shaw Pond has it all. There is a fine hiking trail close to Shaw Pond called the Melton Falls Trail; the skiing at Ragged Mountain is great. And that's not all there is to do here in the White Mountains. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites TILTON is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and naturally Sucker Brook flows through this region. Pats Peak is a brilliant local ski area, and Webster Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more enjoyable things to do in the White Mountains.
