This lake is so wonderful. There's magnificent hiking along the Mitchell Hill Road, and Peacock Hill Campground is a magnificent local campground. Go for a hike on the Wapack Trail, and Oak Brook Golf Course is a great golf course nearby. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Shattuck Pond. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's.
