This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Hill - Brook Motel is a perfect choice, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Mitchell Hill Road. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. Going for a hike along the Old Country Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. At Shaky Pond you always meet someone from Manchester-Nashua; a splendid       location to camp here at Shaky Pond is Skypark Campground. A lot of precipitation falls at Shaky Pond; most of the rain falls during November while September is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Ice Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and there are swamps here too, Campbell Swamp is close by. A splendid nearby hotel is The Bedford Village Inn, and do explore Joe English Pond, it's a pretty lake. And if that's not sufficient,                  there's lots more to do near Shaky Pond. What would winter be without some skiing at Pats Peak, and Shaky Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Autumn Hills Campground is a delightful local campground. If you come at the right time of year, Piscataquog River offers some brilliant whitewater, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Wapack Trail. Gotta ski! McIntyre is a wonderful location to do that; get yourself into a kayak and hit Piscataquog River - South Branch. The warmest time of the year at Shaky Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 20's; night lows in the 10's for Shaky Pond.
