Shadow Lake is a lake worth visiting. A pleasant close by hotel is Holiday Inn Salem, Nh, and obviously Flatrock Brook flows through this vicinity. You're sure to encounter some cheerful people from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy here, and the Catamount Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Why not stop at Shadow Lake Dam if you're here; there's whitewater on Concord River for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up

| | on the wonderful whitewater of Merrimack River; a golf course close by is Applewood Golf Links. From a precipitation point of view Shadow Lake is a relatively common spot; the month with most of the rain is November; February is when it's the driest. Be careful coming to Shadow Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Hit the slopes at McIntyre close by, and if you came for an overnight stay Sanborn Shore Acres is a tremendous location to camp. If | |

the weather is splendid here at Shadow Lake, you can go for a hike along the Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Bradford. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at
Escambuit Campground, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Campground Trail. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Shadow Lake. At Shadow Lake you can see Gordons Hill. Lakes? Sure,
Big Island Pond is close by. Forest Lake is a tremendous lake right next door to Shadow Lake, and if you need a site to stay Red Roof Inn Salem is a glorious choice. Summertime highs at Shadow Lake generally tend to be in the 80's.
During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Shadow Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
