    Go to Shadow Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Through the summer months here at Shadow Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while Shadow Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There's a forest here at Shadow Lake called Fay State Forest, and Shadow Lake Dam is a striking location, beyond  
   doubt worth visiting. Pemigewasset River is a brilliant whitewater spot in close proximity to Shadow Lake, and if you need a location to stay Franconia Notch Motel is a splendid choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Basin Cascade Trail; as expected, this is a brilliant vicinity for folks who like lakes, Lincoln Reservoir is a lake in close proximity. Why not take a look at close by Boyce Brook if you're here at Shadow Lake, and there is
 
               a good hiking trail nearby called the Mount Pemigewasset Trail. While you're here at Shadow Lake it's a glorious idea to have a look at The Basin, and camping is available at Country Bumpkins.
And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the White Mountains. Beacon Resort is a wonderful location to get some rest; the top of Mount Pemigewasset is easily made out from Shadow Lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at Shadow Lake; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
But wait, there's more to do near Shadow Lake. Bog Eddy is a swamp next to Shadow Lake; if you fancy a little side journey, try The Flume. This place, Shadow Lake, it just has so much outdoors exciting stuff. A pleasant spot to camp here at Shadow Lake is Campers World Campground; going for a hike on the Whitehouse Trail is always a brilliant adventure. This lake is so wonderful.
Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the White Mountains. A day on the slopes of Cannon Mountain is just what you need; why not head up to Loon Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. Georgiana Falls is a perfect local attraction, and if you're here at Shadow Lake, checking out Indian Head is a must.
