This lake is so wonderful. Put some time aside to spend at Georgiana Falls while you're here at Shadow Lake, and the snow is magnificent at Loon Mountain. Having a great time in the White Mountains is painless. While you're here at Shadow Lake, you could also stop by lovely The Pool, and Boyce Brook is near Shadow Lake and is always a diversion to explore. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Mount Pemigewasset       can be seen from Shadow Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Beacon Resort. This lake is located in the wonderful White Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff near Shadow Lake. Shadow Lake is right by the Basin Cascade Trail; there's a tremendous forest called Fay State Forest. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the White Mountains has to offer. Indian Head is a good site to have a look at while in the area, and                  Shadow Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Country Bumpkins is a wonderful local campground. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the White Mountains. The Whitehouse Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Shadow Lake Dam. An average amount of rainfall falls at Shadow Lake; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. A great spot for whitewater paddling next to Shadow Lake is Pemigewasset River, and there are swamps here too, Bog Eddy is in close proximity. While staying at Shadow Lake you could always explore The Flume, and if you need a spot to stay Woodwards Resort is a nice choice. There's so much to do here at Shadow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Campers World Campground is a perfect location for that, and do have a look at Lincoln Reservoir, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Cannon Mountain is just what you need. During the summertime months, highs regularly are in the 70's at Shadow Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Shadow Lake.
