If you are traveling by, why not stop by Sawyer Lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Abenaki, and after a long day outdoors Lake Opechee Inn and Spa is a splendid site to spend a night or two. If you come at the right time of year, Suncook River offers some magnificent whitewater, and there's wonderful hiking along the Catamount Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Sawyer Lake you can enjoy the trees of C H Page State Forest; the skiing at Gunstock

A lot of rainfall falls at Sawyer Lake; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. The warmest time of the year at Sawyer Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Sawyer Lake. Having a wonderful time at Sawyer Lake is easy. A great location to camp here at Sawyer Lake is The Acord Campground, and there's some interesting stuff to observe at Sawyer Lake Dam near Sawyer Lake. Pheasant Ridge Country Club is a nice golf course nearby, and you're sure to encounter some wonderful folks from Laconia here.
