A pleasant place for whitewater paddling near Sandhill Pond is Piscataquog River - South Branch, and lakes are such peaceful sites, why not stop by Colby Pond. Sandhill Pond is a reasonably wet place commonly with a lot of precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here while January is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Friendly Beaver Camp Ground, and if you're       here you will meet lots of people from nearby Manchester-Nashua. The skiing at Crotched Mountain is nice. You get a splendid vista of Cochran Hill from Sandhill Pond, and get your pulse rate up on the nice whitewater of Souhegan River. Go for a hike on the Mitchell Hill Road, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Pats Peak is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Sandhill Pond without first going for a hike along the Wapack Trail, and                  Shell Vacations Hospitality is a fine location to get some rest. There are wonderful locations to discover along the Old Country Road, and after a long day outdoors The Henniker Motel is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool things, what a great earth it would be. Cold Brook is a tremendous local stream, and a delightful site to camp here at Sandhill Pond is Wildwood Campground. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Sandhill Pond. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
