Gotta ski! Crotched Mountain is a great location to do that; dry warm beds await you at Hill - Brook Motel. Why not have a look at nearby Cold Brook since you're here at Sandhill Pond, and Sandhill Pond is not the only site nearby, Haunted Lake is a nearby lake. The high level of precipitation makes Sandhill Pond a reasonably wet location; all through the month of November       you get the most rain around here, and January is the month with the least moisture. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Sandhill Pond. Soar down the rapids of Piscataquog River - South Branch in a kayak, and if you came to camp Friendly Beaver Camp Ground is a nice place to do that. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Sandhill Pond. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are                  normally in the 20's while Sandhill Pond night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Everybody close by loves skiing at Pats Peak; the top of Cochran Hill is easily spotted from Sandhill Pond. There's so much to do here at Sandhill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Wildwood Campground is a good spot for that; nearby you discover the Old Country Road which is a good hiking trail. Going for a hike on the Mitchell Hill Road is always a great adventure, and a lake nearby is McGregors Pond. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Sandhill Pond. Go for a hike on the Wapack Trail, and Sandhill Pond is not far at all from Manchester-Nashua. This lake is so wonderful.
