Great Gully Lodge Bed & Break is a perfect place to get some rest, and everybody close by loves skiing at Wildcat. Going for a hike on the Carlton Notch is always a good adventure; the summit of Pond Hill can be distinguished from Pond of Safety. Be careful coming to the White Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Upper Ammonoosuc       River - West Branch, and Bretton Woods is a great local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Pond of Safety is fine fun, Timberland Camping Area is a fine local campground, and get dripping wet paddling on Peabody River - West Branch. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Pond of Safety. Pond of Safety is a fine location to camp, White Birches Mtn Camping Park is a fine location, and after a long day outdoors Grand View Lodge & Cabins                  is a delightful site to spend a night or two. Pond of Safety is located in the White Mountains. The amount of rainfall that falls at Pond of Safety is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the long summer days at Pond of Safety temperatures are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Pond of Safety temperatures descend to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Near Pond of Safety you locate the Upper Ammonoosuc Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. That right there is a load of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all.
