Pond of Safety is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Pond of Safety while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Pond of Safety. So much entertaining stuff to do at Pond of Safety, so little time. Godfrey Pond is a nearby lake that you could       explore; you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Pond of Safety Trail. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the White Mountains. Pond of Safety is not far at all from Berlin; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Peabody River - West Branch. While you're here at Pond of Safety you can take a hike along the Upper Ammonoosuc Trail, and after a long day outdoors Mount Washington Hotel is a great site                  to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wildcat since you're here, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Carlton Notch. If you get bored of Pond of Safety, you could also stop at close by York Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Upper Ammonoosuc River - West Branch offers some great whitewater. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the White Mountains. A wonderful site to camp here at Pond of Safety is White Birches Mountain Camping Park, and dry warm beds await you at The Mount Washington Hotel & Resort. This lake is so wonderful. You get a great vista of Pond Hill from Pond of Safety, and camping at Timberland Camping Area is always a good experience. Very scenic scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Bretton Woods.
