Saco Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Summertime highs at Saco Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Saco Lake. All year is a magnificent time in the White Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Ammonoosuc

| | River, and there's brilliant hiking along the Mount Avalon Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. A cool spot to check out near Saco Lake is Elephant Head; The Mount Washington Hotel & Resort is a nice location to get some rest. Camping is available at Dry River Campground, and a glorious close by hotel is Mount Washington Hotel. Saco Lake is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains.

whitewater spots on Dry River, and let's not forget Assaguam Brook which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. Saco Lake is a good location of typical rain; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest
of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. A fine vista of scenic Mount Avalon is available from Saco Lake, and great skiing awaits you at Attitash Bear Peak.
So much cool stuff to do here in the White Mountains, too
glorious to be true. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Bretton Woods; the Webster Trail offers hiking at its best. If you came for an overnight stay Tarry-ho-cottages is a good spot to camp; hiking is a popular thing to do around Saco Lake; Avalon Trail is a nice local trail.
