    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Round Pond Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A Top Notch Inn is a fine spot to get some rest. During the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Round Pond Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Round Pond Lake dip into  
   the-10's.
Round Pond Lake is a wet spot that gets lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Long Pond, and unsurprisingly Clear Stream is a delightful stream that is worth stopping at. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Round Pond Lake is unbeatable! Hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Pond Lake;
 
               Speck Pond Trail is a fine local trail. Lakes? Sure, Bear Brook Pond is close at hand.
Head up to Balsams Wilderness and strap some skis to your feet, and you can stay the night at Log Haven Campground. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the White Mountains. From Round Pond Lake you acquire a delightful view of Errol Hill; Round Pond Lake is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, Mollidgewock Campground is a magnificent spot to camp nearby. Having a great time in the White Mountains is easy. There's always Errol Dam to take a look at in the vicinity of Round Pond Lake, and Androscoggin River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Old Magalloway Trail, and paddling on Diamond River is so much fun.

I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful. And though the ''camp'' my Pepere had is no longer there, the wonderful memories are....
