If you are in Coos county it's always a good idea to stop by Round Pond Lake. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Balsams Wilderness and strap some skis to your feet. Summertime at Round Pond Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight

Having a good time in the White Mountains is trouble-free. Some of the water nearby flows, like Clear Stream, and after a long day outdoors Errol Motel is a good spot to spend a night or two. Round Pond Lake gets a lot of water; August is when you get the most rain here while February is mostly the driest month. Any time is a delightful time at Round Pond Lake if you fancy the outdoors. Errol Dam near Round Pond Lake; not far from Round Pond Lake you'll hit upon Bear Brook Pond which is a picturesque lake.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the White Mountains has to offer. Camping
is available at Log Haven Campground, and you can run the rapids of Androscoggin River. A fine place to camp here at Round Pond Lake is Mollidgewock Campground, and Magalloway River Inn is a delightful place to get some rest. While
you're here at Round Pond Lake you can take a hike along the Speck Pond Trail, and Diamond River is a brilliant whitewater spot close by.
This lake is so wonderful. You get a magnificent panorama of Errol Hill from Round Pond Lake, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Old Magalloway Trail.
