You can take a little trip to Huckins Dam while you're here at Round Pond; at Round Pond you can distinguish Brush Hill. You could also take a look at Little River Reservoir while you're here at Round Pond; it's close by, and going for a hike on the Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Pond, it simply has so much outdoors amusing stuff. There is a great hiking trail next to Round Pond called the Catamount Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Circle 9 Ranch Campground is a brilliant site to do that,
and as expected Burnham Brook is a lovely stream that is worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Gunstock are so inviting noone can resist, and whitewater paddling is good on Little Suncook. All through the warm
days of summer at Round Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows all through the wintertime for Round Pond tend to be in the 0's.

Sun River Campground
 | Have been here a couple of times and its the best! We go with a group and get all the sites near the river/stream (perhaps the river/stream is Sun River)and its wonderful!!! No need to worry about the kids and/or dogs bothering anyone and they can just play in the water, fish, look for frogs, float on their tubes, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean!!! We've stayed here a number of years and I couldn't ask for more from a camp ground . . . you're camping but still have all the conveniences right at hand! The spot we get near the water is by far the best! Country store is close and, for those who are interested, I can even use my cell phone (only if necessary, of course)without getting cut off! Thumbs up to Sun River Camp Ground!!! ... |
