This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Rolf Pond you obtain some wonderful water scenery at Hoague-Sprague Dam; if you come at the right time of year, Blackwater River offers some great whitewater. People from Concord love to come to Rolf Pond, and while you're here you can play some golf at Duston Country Club Golf Course. There is a wonderful hiking trail in close proximity to Rolf Pond called the Old       Country Road, and if you've had enough of Rolf Pond, Clement Pond is nearby. For the period of the summertime months at Rolf Pond temperatures are typically in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Rolf Pond are in the 0's. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area near Rolf Pond has to offer. The skiing at Pats                  Peak is fine, and if you came to camp Sandy Beach Family Campground is a great place to do that. Not far from Rolf Pond you can enjoy the trees of Ames State Forest, and Rolf Pond is not the only spot nearby, Carr Pond is a nearby lake. The Henniker Motel is a tremendous spot to get some rest, and drift down the rapids of Contoocook River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Centennial, and nearby you discover the Wapack Trail which is a good hiking trail. If the weather is gorgeous, you get a good sight of Clement Hill from Rolf Pond; the Wilmot Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. Rolf Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Rolf Pond in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise.
