Nat Hall: This has got to be the best kept secret in New Hampshire!  A fantastic place to kayak or canoe.  I've seen great blue heron, ducks of many varieties, Canada geese and even two bald eagles.  It's easy to surprise beaver early in the morning as well as muskrat and oppossum.  I haven's spotted deer yet, but have heard them crashing off into the brush when I paddle too close to shore in the morning mists. Head up to Pats Peak and strap some skis to your feet, and camping at Powder Mill Pond is brilliant fun, Brantwood Camp is a brilliant local campground. Through the summertime, highs mostly are in the 70's at Powder Mill Pond, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Powder       Mill Pond. So many entertaining things close to Powder Mill Pond, just remarkable. After a long day outdoors Shell Vacations Hospitality is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and Seven Maples Campground is a pleasant campground here. Powder Mill Pond is a good place of typical rain; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. Paddling on Contoocook River - North Branch is so much fun; Contoocook River Reservoir is a                  nearby lake that you could check out. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Crotched Mountain, and delightful hiking is available along the Pumpelly Trail. Great Brook is a delightful stream that is worth taking a look at; going for a hike on the Wapack Trail is always a great adventure. Go for a hike on the Parker Trail, and not far from Powder Mill Pond you acquire some perfect water scenery at Powder Mill Pond Dam. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Powder Mill Pond. On a tremendous day it's a splendid idea to spend the day at Campers Beach. This lake is so perfect. Here at Powder Mill Pond you'll almost certainly meet some people from Manchester-Nashua, and if you want to hit the beach, Picnickers Beach is in close proximity.
