This has got to be the best kept secret in New Hampshire! A fantastic place to kayak or canoe. I've seen great blue heron, ducks of many varieties, Canada geese and even two bald eagles. It's easy to surprise beaver early in the morning as well as muskrat and oppossum. I haven's spotted deer yet, but have heard them crashing off into the brush when I paddle too close to shore in the morning |

There are 23 slopes to choose from and 5 lifts at the nearby ski resort Crotched Mountain. Crotched Mountain obtains on average 9 feet of good snow every winter and has a splendid 875-foot elevation difference.
