Through the summer at Potanipo Pond highs are frequently in the 70's, and the night is
a little chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Potanipo Pond dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
The summit of Potanipo Hill can be seen from Potanipo Pond, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Souhegan River. Very great water scenery is available at Potanipo Pond Dam next to Potanipo
Pond, and lots of people from Manchester-Nashua come here.
Going for a hike on the Wapack Trail is always a wonderful adventure. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Potanipo Pond has to offer, you can camp at Field
and Stream Travel Trailer Park. Potanipo Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Take a little tour to Wolf Brook since you're here at Potanipo Pond; the Mitchell Hill Road is a good hiking trail close by.
